CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Here at St. Paul the teaching of our children is held in highest esteem. We believe that children are loved by God, need to be taught the basics of the Christian faith, and best learn these lessons when they are modeled in the lives of their parents.

In order to follow God's command to "bring up your child in the love of the Lord" we offer a number of Christian educational opportunities for people of every age, not just the young ones.

Sunday School is open for all age 3 and above. In addition to regular lessons the children sing and have activities which reinforce the lesson of the day. They also sing in church approximately monthly.

Bible Classes: Separate classes are held for High School youth and adults. The HS Group focuses on the application of Scriptural principles to issues relating to their age-specific life-situations. The Adult Class is led by the pastor; he has groups on Sunday morning and Tuesday mornings.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) This year we're doing something different. Rather than our traditional four-day format (Thursday through Sunday) we are doing four separate VBS-like days throughout the year. This is for children age three (potty trained, please!) through 6th grade. Older children may participate as helpers. These "FUN DAYS" run all day Saturday, and then the children sing in church on Sunday morning.

Schedule: The general rule for the Sunday School schedule is that classes begin the Sunday after Labor Day and finish the Sunday before Memorial Day (so we go from September to May), and we take off two Sundays over Christmas and New Years.
